Todd Oldham, known for his eclectic fashion designs, and more recently, his home furnishings range for Target, as well as his numerous TV programs, was today named design creative director at Old Navy, effective October 1st. According to Dawn Robertson, Old Navy's president, "Todd is a great fit for Old Navy, and this is a huge win for both of us. His appointment will help us strengthen our focus on creativity and innovation to inspire and excite our customers. Todd will partner with our EVP Product, Doug Howe, and the creative team to deliver a fashion viewpoint at value that will set Old Navy apart from its competitors."
Mr. Oldham will divide his time between New York City and San Francsico, and will play a part in developing and implementing the creative direction of merchandise at Old Navy. In future, he also plans to develop and launch a line under the Todd Oldham name, to be sold exclusively at Old Navy stores.

All I have to say is "yay!" because I love Todd Oldham and I hope he brings something fresh to the brand.

I was totally obsessed with him is high school. Hope this is a successful union. Old Navy needs fresh ideas.
I was cleaning out a closet yesterday and came across a very old blouse from his original line. I agree, Old Navy needs some sprucing up especially now that Target & Kohls are raising the bar.
This should be interesting. I am not an Old Navy shopper usually, but I would love to see his stuff.
Let's hope his line isn't as expensive as the Vera Wang one for Kohl's. Mind, the clothes are exquisite, but kinda priicey!
