That damn Katie Couric bag! Actually I am not "looking" for it any longer because it's probably not being made. Mony requested that I post this bag again since I am constantly referring to it as "the bag that got away." I pride myself on being able to find anything anywhere. Although I have never gotten over it, I pretty much stopped looking thinking that it would just appear in a magazine or online or a blog. No such luck. So here it is again. I originally posted this 9/9/06 after seeing the photo in People Magazine of Katie's first day of work. I scoured "bag blogs" and even went so far as to e-mail Katie. Negative on both. Perhaps if Katie had taken the time to e-mail me her ratings would be better!

It's not the straw one...the lattice one I don't recognize as being an Anya believe me I looked high and low!

I'm sort of surprised that Katie's assistant didn't reply. How hard is it to find out the name of her bag if she is sitting 2 feet in front of you. Oh well, I agree with you...her ratings would be better if she just responed about the bag :-)

Here's a thought on the Katie bag...Etro. I can't see the photo that well, but it looks like the top of the bag might be Etro's signature paisley pattern. Maybe?
I don't think it's that high end. The first time around someone suggested Trina Turk but it never panned out. Annoying isn't it???
It reminds me of something by Buzz by Jane Fox, but I don't know if they are around anymore.
Buzz by Jane Fox is gone. She actually went to work for Lilly P. as the accessories designer!
I think it is an old Buzz bag. My friend has one just like it.
I don't think Buzz ever did leather and this one looks like leather or leatherlike canvas. I could be wrong but like I said, the bag is long gone. I've looked on eBay and everything. Time to let the dream die!
