Getting Sirius

Who has Sirius radio and if so what do you listen to? I got one for Christmas and it was just installed last week so I am still fumbling around for stations. I am not a Howard Stern fan so forget that channel. The Martha Channel is pretty good depending on the topic. If it's related to kids that doesn't apply so I have to hunt around for something else. There was a really interesting segment on yesterday about vitamins/nutrition with the author of Eat, Drink and Be Gorgeous. There are some shows about food, dogs, gardening, etc. the usual stuff you think Martha would be into.

I usually LOVE "Whatever with Alexis and Jennifer" and that is on when I am driving home from work. Yesterday they had Ricki Lake on (she is SO obnoxious and plugging that horrible documentary of her giving birth in her bathtub - too much information Ricki) so I had to force myself to listen. Alexis is generally really cranky in a way that I can totally relate and called out Ricki for showing her kids the documentary. That was funny since I thought they were going to be all nice to her :-)

Go with the Cosmo Radio. The host, Taylor, is hysterical. It is great! I haven't listened to Martha yet but I do love her.

I have XM and don't listen to it very often. I have a few music stations programmed in, but haven't found any talk show stations that sound as good as the ones you mentioned. I'll have to explore. My kids like Disney Radio occasionally.

Happy New Year to you too! Isn't that the craziest thing, when my old blogger account got hacked I wasn't too upset since I didn't have most of my contacts, but now htis freaky blog has taken its place - so weird!

I love Sirius. I listen to 80's, 70's, Classical Pops (86), Jimmy Buffet, and of course Whatever. I listen to Whatever every day on my way home from work. I'm always afraid that someone will see me laughing hysterically in my car. The Martha channel used to have a show that came on Fridays at 7:00 pm central called "The Cocktail Hour". It was great, but it's gone. If there's something really newsworthy happening, I tune into CNN on the way to work.

Thanks Tammy!

I also heard Candace Bushnell on the other morning and she was awful. I swear I thought it was Joan Rivers!

I don't have Sirius, but I love my XM. I keep it in the kitchen and listen to the 1940's and 1950's stations to channel my inner happy housewife when stuck with the chores.

We have Sirius. We love it. We listen to Fox Network, PBS, Margaritaville, Frank Sinatra station, 1980's, 1960's, etc. There are so many stations to choose from that you may never get to them all. Martha Stewart--I am a visual person so I do not listen to this. Love your blog. Mine is one week old and is still a work in progress.

Wish I could help but I have XM and that's all I listen to. I can't even tell you the last time I listed to regular radio! I thought XM and Sirius were supposed to be merging??? Maybe I dreamt that one.

MM - you are right they are supposed to merge!
