This is the latest book on Mrs. Astor that was released in May of this year if anyone is interested! It received mixed reviews on Amazon but sounds like it's worth a read.

That is sad, but she did alot of good.
Yes, I was sad to hear this, but she did live a long, full life. I liked the book; I thought it was an interesting read, although it dragged on a bit at the end.
Great minds!
If I live 3 times longer, I still won't live as long--or as large! I am enjoying hearing about her life, her philanthropy and style.
I thought this was so sad...the book is on my "to read" list.
