Interesting. IMO, they surveyed a pretty limited number of "handbag shoppers" most likely in an area where some of the other brands aren't as well known.
The comments on the post made me so mad!!! These people are obnoxious snobs. Saying things like they would want to distance themselves with people who buy coach is just rude. Just buy a freaking bag because you like it - who cares if someone can recognize it or not. I have some crazy expensive bags by Mulberry, Gryson and LV. But I also have a Coach. Guess which one I always get complemented on - yup...the Coach. Handbags are just getting so out of control right now. It really is sad.
My sister dated one of the regional guys for Coach. He told me their goal is to get as much Coach or C's on a shopper as possible. A HUGE amount their business comes from the coach hat/tennis shoe/wallet crowd. The expensive stuff gets the press, but this "outfitting" on teenage girls and others (who I don't know how to write in a PC way) is a customer that Coach relies heavily on for volume.

Very interesting. I personally am not a Coach fan, I was when I was 16, but not anymore.
