Gryson for Target

This could be an interesting collaboration - the line will launch sometime in 2008!

I know everyone loves these brands that do lines for Target. But I think it cheapens the brand. My friends would disagree with me, but it just seems odd.

I sort of agree. Although the idea of bringing semi-luxury good brands to the masses sounds nice in theory I'm afraid it hasn't happened in practice. The stuff looks great online but in person it appears cheap. Case in point...the Simply Vera line. It looked fabulous online but in the store - yucky.

Interesting. I'm not sure they are going to be able to pull this one off. I have a Gryson bag and the best part about it is the beautiful soft leather and amazing interior. I just don't think you can achieve that at a Target price. But maybe they'll surprise us!

I totally agree about the Vera line. I was so excited to go see it and was SOOooo disappointed. I can't ever seem to find the stuff in Target. But I don't really search for it either.

Since you are the shopping goddess A, have you seen any websites with red damask wrapping paper or red houndstooth wrapping paper?

KK - Try The Container Store. I know I saw something to the effect the other day!

I got the prettiest red damask look paper at Big Lots! It was sooooo cheap for nice paper.

There you go!

We don't have a Big Lots, at least not one near me!

Have you noticed the new Payless commercials? I really think they are trying to do the same thing Target has been doing and get in high end designers to do an affordable line for them. I just noticed the other day and read an article somewhere about a deisigner doing a spring line for Payless. What do you think about that one?
