One more for this morning! Personally I am so tired of hearing about "it" bags. I buy what I like, I can afford and the bag that is most functional for me. Click here for article.
I agree as well. My current handbag I bought at Kohl's for less than $50 and I get several compliments about it (it's a Chaps). That makes me feel a bit better about not lugging around a bag that cost a mortgage payment. I'm waiting for the bubble to burst as well.
I agree!! I used to have a ton of bags & over the past few years, I sold most of them on ebay. I have an LV tote & for what I paid, I can't justify or afford to have a bunch of others. My new Spring/Summer bag has become an LLBean tote or my Vineyard Vines tote - it can go from town, country to beach :)
I agree! I have some nice classic (some vintage) handbags (but never the handbag of the moment)! I don't think too many individuals can keep up with it as it's pretty unrealistic for most of us to pay more for a handbag than a mortgage payment (and multiple times). Unless of course, we've saved for that one dream bag. Just saying...
I say become a LV shareholder instead holding a LV bag. OR If you've got Oprah money....buy the bag. If you go to work 5 days a week...put $1200 in the your $50 bag. Hope that didn't sound judgmental. Great post!
I think everyone made valid points. I think it's nice to have a couple of pricey classic bags but to be honest I get so overwhelmed every season with bags I usually end up permanently borrowing one from my mothers closet or getting one from some random store if I see something I like! All the handbags are so overpriced. Remember when COACH used to be reasonable? Not anymore. They were always good for a classic staple or a cute tote. I refuse to pay $500 for a Kate Spade or J. Crew no matter how cute I think it is.

I totally agree! I like a nice classic bag that's going to last (qualit & style) a decent amount of time. The prices are insane!!

I am really over it. Especially since TODAY prices increase by 1/3 on Chanel.
But I am also not paying $600 for a J.Crew bag. Or $995 for a Coach or Kate Spade.
I do have an original Muse bag and still love it, despite what that lady from Domino says.
