Wii (ok, that was bad) got ours at Target -- completely by luck, I hate to admit. I happened to wander by the electronics section a few weeks ago and saw a box on the botton Wii shelf. I asked the guy working there and, lucky me, it was the system. Not what you might hoping to hear, but it's worth a check once in a while.
Thanks that's what I thought. Someone told my mother that it's the luck of the draw, as soon as one comes in the store they go out and they don't really even know when they are getting them in so it's not like they can tell you!
We bought ours last Sunday at Target also. We were told by the electronics dept. to show up at 8:00 Sunday morning. We did and they had about 50 wii systems. They were all gone in about an hour. Good luck!

Anyway, we got ours!!! We were at Target 3 weeks ago and Mr. M was asking the electronics guy about on average how many they get in a week and what our best chances were to pick one up and the guy said they were getting a truck w/ Wii's that night and to be at the store when it opened Sunday morning. So he did! They were gone in about 20 min though so it's a good thing he was there b4 the doors opened Sun morning.
My other suggestion is to check Sam's Club and also the gameing stores at the mall. Everyone forgets about those video game stores at the mall so I have seen some there and they will tell you when they are getting trucks in too. That is probably your best bet if you can't cozy up to the electronics guy at Target.
I can't wait for Santa to bring this to the boys so I can play it!!
P.S. Did you know there is even a new DWTS Wii game out?!? OH YES. THERE. IS. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK so it sounds like Target at 8AM is the best option. I am up anyway so it's not that much of an effort. We are also going to check out the little stores and see what happens.
And of course I knew that there is a DWTS game! Don't you remember who ran out and got the stupid exercise DVD that only made me feel stupid and want to sit on the couch :-)
Check out Toys R Us too. That's where we got ours.
Finding somewhere to buy it online would be just too easy and I wouldn't buy one off eBay for something like this.
I randomly saw a sign in my local Marhsalls or TJ Maxx advertising Wii packages. Bizarre, but worth a shot.
my bf used his little cousions and staked out walmart last year for ours, it was truly pathetic....also they can be bought on ebay

the mgr. said he never knows when they are coming in they are going to get them so just keep calling
a you have to try target
Had to chime back in and warn you that they are overpricing them online so use that as a very last resort.
TY MM. I am definitely NOT buying one online. I saw one for like $600! I can wait!
